The idea for mashpits is simple. Find an interesting project that needs some help, get sponsors for pizza and beer, let people code and create in an openspace setting from 3pm to late in the evening (as long as people are having fun). It's free for the projects selected and the spirit is really one of cooperation and barnraising.

Any skills levels are welcomed, a good mix of experience is always interesting it sure helps to have a few skilled veterans. First Montreal Mashpit this thursday at EyeSteelFilm (Brett calls them beercamp). Here's the lowdown :
